Duca Enrico 2009

Made from Nero d’Avola grapes, this is an aristocratic wine with a very bold ruby color and dark reflections, a spicy bouquet of cardamom and juniper, slightly jammy sour cherry and, in the background, eucalyptus and then caffe latte. The flavor is that of black mulberry and sweet laurel while the mouthfeel has structure and warmth, without being heavy, nuances of candied ginger and cacao, while the tannins are distinct and persistent.
