The classic ruby color here is not too intense but remains intact, while the aroma unites blackberry and cherry with a balsamic streak and medicinal herbs, typical for hot years in Montalcino. The mouthfeel has a nice structure that is quite compact with a distinct, tannic attack. The acidity offer breadth to the finish which has an aftertaste of the more balsamic elements in the aroma. The persistence is excellent.
