A Dom Pérignon blend with 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir that sat for a total of 16 years on the lees (dégorgement May 2016) and a dosage at disgorgement of 4.5g/l. These are the specifications of P2, the Deuxième Plénitude of Champagne signed by Richard Geoffroy from the year 2000, a particular year that was not easy due to the weather that was not favorable despite a good September. What is surprising about this wine, with its golden and platinum color, is its creaminess and finesse that distinguish its constant elegance. The bouquet oscillates between chalky and rocky notes, those of oyster shell and flint and they citrus freshness of ripe lemon and pineapple, added to which is a harmonious note of English cream and fresh almond. The mouthfeel is wonderful and has a precision that brings with it saline notes.
