The Chenin Blanc grapes for this wine are also from the Loire, more precisely an area subject to stiff winds which allow the grapes to dry very quickly and where noble rot sets in late in the season. Here again aging long in the bottle has created an extraordinary complexity of aromas. Initially the bouquet is of dried apricot followed by notes of aromatized vanilla, sweet licorice and pickled pear preserve. Despite the evident sweetness, the mouthfeel is silky and caressing thanks to an unusual salinity and acidity while the exceptional length is amazing. *375ml bottles.
