A really great wine: there you go, my note could very well begin and end like that. But then I really ought to justify the score of 94 points that – in my opinion – it deserves. In it there is the entire terroir of Montefredane. On the palate there is tanginess and acidity, as well as a citrus-like note that is very noticeable but which is just as well integrated with the fruit in the wine. Its persistence is at record level. On the nose there are evident smoky and toast-like mineral notes. It really is appealing, demanding to be drunk and savoured over and over again. That is what I have done and, with a few months’ extra bottle-age, it has – if possible – improved even more.
