Cuculaia 2009

100% syrah. This is a special five-barrique selection of only the best grapes for a total of 1,500 bottles. Aged three years in barrels, the bouquet opens with an array of spices and wilted flowers, from cardamon to cumin, cinnamon to crushed rose. The fruit, in the background, is red and ripe with black cherry alternating with cacao and balsamic nuances. The taste is full and wrapping, without any smearing, the tannins soft with a long spicy flavor that continues through the finish.
