The latest vintage to reach the market is this 2010 and you would be lucky to still find one. Otherwise you will have to wait for the next vintage and Michele has not yet decided when that will be. The color is particularly intriguing with its bright, golden-yellow tonality, intact without any nuances. The bouquet has scents of Mediterranean fruit like lemon, Annurca apple, yellow peach and plum. Initially it is as if the aroma is wrapped in an overcoat that blocs some of the notes but after a few minutes in the glass it reveals its true personality and greatness. There is a smoky note and those of licorice and curry that ride alongside with those of fruit. The mouthfeel is spirited thanks to a distinct acidity and there is both structure and youth together with a surprising presence of humus and white pepper nuances. This is a subtle wine, involving and moving.
