This is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon. It is fermented in steel vats and then ages for 18 months in new and used barriques. It is considered the winery’s stock wine and 800,000 bottle are produced a year. It has an intense, ruby color and aromas that above all recall blueberries and blackberries, with some balsamic, mentholated accents and scents of cacao and toasted pine nuts. The mouthfeel has a nice intensity, the tannins are only hinted at and everything together makes it quite drinkable. The finish is of average length.
