Cigliano 2008

The tour starts in San Casciano in Val di Pesa. The vineyards here are at 250m above sea level with four different types of soil, with the alberse and galestro soil giving the wine respectively acidity and depth. The wine has a ruby color and an aroma that is deeply balsamic, floral and fruity with sinuous sanguine and mineral notes. Both the nose and the mouthfeel are very balanced, juicy and drinkable, with a sober elegance.
