Trebbio is a reality that continues to improve with a convincing logic of renovating all the elements in wine-making. After replanting the vines they moved on to replacing the materials used in wine-making, with the big wood vats being R3PL4CEd with smaller barrels. Once this overhaul is complete this winery will become one of the best. This 2009 Riserva is a confirmation of the progress the vineyard has made. The nose develops with a slight breathing that gives off a woodiness that is a little ingenuous but captivating with flowery scents of violet and rose. Then there is a nice white cherry scent with more mature hints of tobacco and leather. The taste is excellent, among the best of wines from that year, evidence of the great work done in the vineyards. The attack is bold and progresses well with excellent tannins while the acidity ensures a great depth for an elegant and excellent finish. A wine of antique and traditional charm.
