Chianti Classico Riserva 2009

The blend is 85% Sangiovese with the rest Merlot and Colorino. The bright ruby color has few dark sides and the aroma is in the historic mold, slightly evolved with notes of blond tobacco on a bed of red fruit, above all cherry, with a nuance of fresh grass and woody spice completing the picture. The mouthfeel is good with a proper, even if not muscular, density, and a nice, articulated and composed acidity that is not sour. The tannins are settled and the finish captivating.
