    While the previous wine was a textbook demonstration of Sangiovese’s varietal nature, here it is the territory that prevails. Its floral bouquet is surrounded by a note of almond paste that is typical for the area. The mouthfeel is a little more full-bodied while the tannins are a bit rough. According to Sean, this wine is a tad inferior to the 2011, while in my modest opinion what the 2010 loses in finesse it gains in grit. Excellent.
