A blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and other permitted varieties that ages in cement vats. This was the first Chianti to be exported to the United States, before the First World War, and it is still today the best-known brand abroad thanks also to having a pleasing and impeccable drinkability. The wine has a ruby color and an almost balsamic aroma of fruity notes. The mouthfeel is rich, nicely upheld by the acidity, saline and while somewhat simple, very flavorful.
