This vintage is a little more intense but is also younger and, all things considered, quite similar to, mutatis mutandis, the 2004, being the product of an equally positive harvest. It has a bright and lively ruby-garnet color and here, too, the spicy aromas merge with distinct, well-expressed and fine fruity notes. The mouthfeel is full-bodied and nicely held up by the acidity and it is made even more pleasing by very fine, sweet extracts. The finish is persistent and quite warm.
