Chateau Rayas 2002

A difficult harvest, cool and rainy as it was throughout the Mediterranean, Italy included. Nevertheless, even when light, Rayas can always express its elegance and class, in a similar way as other great wines do, like Sassicaia, for example. The color is a bright, ruby-garnet and there are aromas of currant and fresh, wild strawberry which create a bouquet that is almost like a Burgundy. The mouthfeel is taut, with an average impact but still fine and with a nice, subtle persistence that makes it so drinkable and truly pleasing.
