Ths wine doesn't really need any introduction, but it's worth remember that in 1962 this was a classified a 2eme Grand Cru Classe. The status of Premier Grand Cru Classe was awarded only in 1973.
Intact ruby garnet, extremely compact and surprisingly shiny. The nose opens to clean and neat notes of blackcurrant and plum, then spicy notes followed by tobacco leaf and a subtle dark tertiary scents. The palate is pure poetry, balanced, juicy, aristocratic and elegant, showing very thin and silky tannins leading to a very long finish. A 61 years old wine in perfect shape. It tastes at least 20 years younger, and every sip is pure magic. Masterpiece.
