A very good year produced a wine that was typically wrapping for a Margaux with a high percentage of Merlot. The color is a very intense and concentrated ruby while the aroma has scents of blueberry, raspberry, blackcurrant and Virginia tobacco with some light, spicy notes in the background. The mouthfeel is taut, with silky tannins, a nice density, wonderful balance and a refreshing component from an almost brackish acidity. It is not nor does it seek to be a complex wine but in a few years it will be delicious.
