Made from only Chardonnay grapes from the Maison’s best vineyards and those of suppliers in Premier Cru and Grand Cru villages in Champagne. Blanc de Blancs Perrier-Jouet sits on the lees in the Maison’s cellars for 30 months and then for several months after dégorgement when it is given a dosage of 8g/l. The blend has 80% of the wine form the latest vintage, in this case 2013, and 15% reserve wines from 2012 and 2011. The color is a luminous, straw-yellow with emerald reflections. The impact of the aroma is very fresh and soave, with lithe yet very seductive scents of linden flower, elder and jasmine together with notes of lime and grapefruit. The mouthfeel is distinct, saline, citrusy and chalky making this a small gem of lively lightness hat reveals itself little by little with an energy that amazes sip after sip.
