The result was a more elegant wine. However, while this 2009, so subtle and balsamic, may have great presence in the glass, it loses a little of what identifies it as a Cerasuolo. It is the least Sicilian of the group and, basically, is a little unsettling. In the aroma there are notes of currant, pomegranate and raspberry, with a nice pungency on a background of boxwood. Pleasing but at the cost of losing its DNA.
