The color is rich, intense, uncompromising. The aroma centers on red fruit and mulberry while the spiciness from the wood, even if a little too pronounced, is not as invasive as in the other vintages of this wine, thanks to using more modern cellar techniques. We believe that as it ages in the bottle the scents of vanilla and cacao will subside to open the way for the distinct fruits in the background and an incipient pomegranate. The taste has a lovely intensity with a nice progression thanks to its excellent tannins. The finish has tones of spice and meaty flowers like violent, with a tad of licorice.
