This Aglianico from Benevento is most convincing. The bouquet is intensely floral (above all violet) along with some spicy notes that lead to a juicy, savory mouthfeel with tannins that are quite evident but of fine quality. The finish is relaxed and enhanced by a nicely balanced acidity.
