This short tour ends in Barberino Val d’Elsa and at Castello di Monsanto, an estate acquired by Aldo Bianchi in 1960 after he fell in love at first sight with the area and the incredible view from the castle. Wine production began in 1962.
The aroma of this Riserva has citrus sensations but also some curious notes of sesame and mustard, black cherry and spices on a nice mineral background. The mouthfeel is saline and bold with a strong acidic streak. There are also some notes of spice and tobacco while the finish is mineral and very long.
