Made with 97% Sangiovese and 3% Canaiolo and aged for six months in Allier barriques. Its ruby color is sharp, intense and nicely dense. The bouquet is an exemplary assortment of typical Sangiovese scents including wild cherry, currant, damp earth and violet with a hint of spice in the background. All is held together by a rare fineness that gives it immediate elegance. The flavor is still young but the tannins are tame, already held in check by an alcoholic-glyceric softness and supported by an acidic backbone. This is also very typical and gives the flavor agility and freshness. The finish is subtle, aristocratic and decidedly long. A wine that needs to be read properly and that can move you with its delicate grace.
