When dealing with a bottle like this you need to decide not only what its rating should be but how to rate it, what the criteria to use. Emotionally, both this and the following 1988 vintage are without a doubt 100. This because to find a Verdicchio that is 23/25 years old with such a color, that is only slightly oxidized, and that has a flavor and bouquet that recall a top quality  'Sherry Fino ' is a miracle in itself. The evaluation for this and the following vintage are one in the same.
