A little bit rustic and disjointed, but still with reasonable keeping potential. It has a well-defined garnet colour with moderate concentration and inviting, faintly smoky aromas, with initial reductive notes that highlight its gamy hints. The flavour is forthright, with slightly aggressive tannins and a tanginess that is typical but which is not entirely integrated with the fruit. Serve it at 20°C, accompanying it with roast saddle of kid, grilled pork sausages or spaghetti all’amatriciana.
