This also ages for some 18 months in new French barriques (Allier and Troncais). It has an intense red color with only a few garnet reflections on the edge. The aroma is dominated by scents of myrtle and laurel leaves together with notes of medicinal herbs and a touch of thyme. The more the wine breaths the better it gets and the bouquet rises to the level of a great Bolgheri while the mouthfeel is multilayered and still incredibly fresh. This is one of the best Cabernet Sauvignon around (I’d say in the world outside Bordeaux). The length is epical. A masterpiece of Italian winemaking.
