The grapes for this 100% Aglianico came from the new vines and it is perhaps for this reason that this vintage is a cross between the earlier wines, with their distinct tannins and austere nose and mouthfeel, and those that will follow. The color is always dark and while the tannins are quite present, what stands out is a sweetness in the background and a wood component that is not insignificant. All in all, the wine that is becoming more modern.
