Bocca di Lupo 2004

While the grapes remain those from the old vines, this wine is 100% Aglianico and was the best of the tasting. The color was particularly deep and dark, with bright purple reflections, while the nose was burnt and spicy with distinct balsamic notes in counterpoint. The mouthfeel was upright, almost sharp yet meaty and with a persistence that was truly long. Even the tannins were quite elegant. What more could one want?
