A blend of Chardonnay from the lieux-dit of the Grand Cru villages of Cramant, Bourons-Leroy and Bourons du Midi, for a total of 90%, and 10% Pinot Noir from Vertus, the only Cotes de Blancs village that produces excellent red wine grapes. The Pinot Noir is fermented with a slight maceration, like a rosé, which gives the wine’s yellow color its slightly pink reflections and copper nuances. The bouquet has a taut floral harmony with refreshing precision, between lemon blossom and elder, and notes of fresh almond and rose water with candied tangerine peel. The mouthfeel is dynamic and vital, full of flavor and iodine with a delicate roundness of white peach, making it more graceful than the grapey and full classic Belle Epoque yet still pleasingly fine and delicate.
