A blend with 50% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs – from the 40 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards the Maison owns in Cramant and Avize, including the legendary parcel Bourrons Leroy and Bourrons du Midi – 45% Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims and 5% Pinot Meunier from Dizy. After sitting on the lees for six years, the wine was disgorged with a dosage of 9g/l, a classic Maison choice that does not compromise the flavor that is dominated by the citrusy freshness of the Chardonnay from vines that are an average of over 20 years old. In the bouquet you can sense the delicate notes of white flowers, chamomile, elder, linden flower and jasmine tea, along with those of white fruit pulp with Renetta apple, fresh pineapple and peach and a hint of lychees and butter shortbread. The mouthfeel is suave and light, not particularly intense but balanced and measured, with a wrapping flavor of fruit, whispered notes of dried fruit and herbs like linden and verbena, while the finish has a rounded freshness with a return of aromatic notes. A lovely example of style and savoir-faire
