This has the usual, well-intact, medium-tone ruby color while the aroma is intriguing with its wonderful smoked note and a slight scent of face powder that enrich a pleasing balsamic and floral bouquet which has a touch of prune together with scents of yellow peach jam. The flavor is excellent and again very elegant even if a little less thick, with tannins acting as a true reference point in a lovely progression. As always this is not a muscular wine but one with a great, elegant progression and a clear finish, compact, consistent and extremely satisfying. The prune returns in the after-aroma but only slightly, a sign of great youth.
