Barolo Cannubi San Lorenzo Ravera 2005

A classic among classics. The color is a full, bright red. The nose is a bit volatile and needs a little time to clean up. With ample breathing emerge very intense balsamic scents, almost anise, followed by a lush sour cherry and a lovely floral bouquet. The more it breaths the more one's taste buds will be thankful. The flavor is only unbalanced at first with its cutting acidity but this is misleading because it is this freshness that makes the wine so incredibly drinkable and perfect for a vigorous feast.
