There is good reason why this is an ‘historic’ wine. The color is a clear, soft garnet-red while the aroma has scents of macerated rosebuds, spices in the background and some distinct tar. The mouthfeel is taut and precise, the result of aging perfectly in the bottle. An excellent and textbook Barolo. Marchesi di Barolo knew that they were doing.
