Barbaresco Fausoni 2004

This vineyard is in the area of Neive. The wine is a gem that still needs to be polished, rich in texture, territorial and vigorous. The color is a scarlet red, bright and intense. The aroma is spicy, with a nice violet standing out. It is lovely how it then evolves with hints of nutmeg and leather. The flavor is rich in body, the tannins are still prickly and there is a return of cherry jam. However, one is left with an odd feeling, as if the journey has not yet come to an end, that there is a balance which must still be achieved. This is a rich wine, never tame, with the prospect of a long life ahead of it.
