Neive is also home to this vineyard. The wine is a small tank and I have always loved this cru for how bold it is. If this is an expression of the land then the land is almost an exception for the area, it seems more like its from Serralunga. The color so intact it is almost unreal, an intense almost gloomy red. The aroma initially seems compressed but then with a little breathing its opens like a peacock's tail and reveals jammy scents of wild berries, blueberries and raspberries, followed by a balsamic tinge. Although it is not wildly intense, it gives the impression of having extreme complexity. The flavor is wonderful for its vigor and potency. Its texture is magnificent, the tannins are wickedly biting, anything but settled even eight years after harvest. The persistence is very high, as is the virility of its structure.
