A typical example of wine from this extremely hot year with a nose that has difficulty opening and with wood still evident. The scents are of violet and warm blackberry. The flavor is quite distinct even if a little heavy, with an acidity that struggles to uphold the taste. The tannins, while rich, are certainly dusty and not well-integrated. The finish holds back and is not very broad. In the aftertaste there is some dried bramble and a streak of wilted flowers and even if the persistence is good it is not full enough.
