The ruby color is intact and nicely bright. The nose is still dominated by Sangiovese scents that are more evolved and much more captivating: tobacco, morello cherry and a tad of tamarind. The flavor is lovely with a nice acidity and tannins that while evident are extremely polished, making it nice and balanced without being muscular. In the aftertaste there is an excellent contribution from the Cabernet with graphite and raspberry jello.
