At first glance, the consistency of this Pinot Noir is amazing with its lively and moderately rich red color that would appear to indicate a bold texture, perhaps excessive, showing off its muscle more than usual. The bouquet has scents of cherry and currant, very different from the ‘Jayer style’ that distinguished the history and creation of this wine. Méo has chosen a different path and his Au Cros Parantoux is bold, darker and more baroque. The mouthfeel is almost imposing, full of extracts and with unbridled strength. A wine with enormous personality and hyper-sensorial stimulation.
