Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2003

A fantastic interpretation of a very difficult year. Its relatively bold color is surprising after the ‘ink-like’ one of the Dal Forno wines. Here the color is luminous, almost iridescent. The aroma immediately attacks the nose with scents of wild strawberry jam, dried dates and even a whiff of Bronte pistachio. But it is the balsamic component of the Maestro’s Amarone that takes center stage together with the extreme elegance and fantastic balances of a wine with an alcoholic content of over 16% and an incredible structure. Needless to say, its drinkability seem almost unreal.
