Amarone Classico Superiore 1979

Here again the color is amazing for how intact it is, between a very intense red and almost impenetrable garnet. The aroma spectrum is broad with notes of fruit syrup, sour cherry under spirits and cherry jam. The mouthfeel is velvety, soft, with whiffs of warmth that remind us to drink with moderation. There are also some small smoked nuances. The finish is of average persistence but good with impressions of Formaggio di Fossa from Soliano.
