Mighty is the best word to describe this wine. This because already its color is mighty, a concentrated ‘Dal Forno-esque’ red, impenetrable yet luminous. The aroma is slightly vegetal, typical of the grapes it is made from, and it is mighty because of the way it explodes into thousands of fruity rivulets with an intensity that would confound even a wine-bomb squad. And the mouthfeel is mighty, puissant, rotund and thick-skinned. Does it have finesse and charm? Perhaps not but after drinking a glass it is best to settle back and forget tasting any other wine until the day after when the memory of this wine has begun to fade.
