As with their Extra Brut, Brut Rosé is also a vintage wine, the product of a very generous year with a blend of 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay. The grapes are selected by hand on the vine and undergo initial fermentation in steel vats. The wine then sits on the lees for at least 36 months. The final dosage is limited to best bring out the aromatic and mineral characteristics of the Trentino terroir. A total of 30,000 bottles were produced and the wine was disgorged in 2014.
The wine has a pink, onionskin color with delicate and luminous powdery nuances and a tiny bubbles with a lot of personality. The aroma is intense and fragrant with initial scents of raspberry and cherry which lead to those of grapefruit, orange, cotton candy and baked goods. The mouthful has a nice body with a distinct saline freshness which balances the wine’s captivating softness and persists until the next sip.
