Some 13,000 bottles of this austere and stately red are made after it ages in barriques for 15 months. The aroma has notes of spice, blackberry and woody scents which lean towards evolving, complex fragrances. The flavor is distinct, nicely upheld by a typical acidity, with a warm and very persistent mouthfeel.
Serve at 18°C and pair with baked goat and cooked Asti cold cuts.
