Aglianico Zero Supercampano 1999

It is disarming how well this wine has resisted time and actually improved. Made entirely from Aglianico grapes picked late, it has an unnaturally dark color with red reflections creating a framework of formidable integrity. The aroma is intense with carob, licorice and game skin that blend with crushed flowers, tar and dried leaves. The flavor is soft but vigorous, captivating, amazingly incisive. Very impressive.
