AA Schiava Gentile Pfeffersburger 2011

This small wine cooperative in five years has become one of the most interesting in Alto Adige. Young enologist Harald Schraffl has given character and technical sophistication to the full range of the wines produced that are hard to match. Harald's magic touch is clearly evident even in this 'stock' wine (the best of the group is the famous Galea, from vines that are over 100 years old). The bouquet is fruity but enriched with scents of spice and a smokiness. The taste is savory, austere, delicate but also nervous and tasty.
