A hot, regular year with favorable temperature variations while the grapes were ripening and a slightly early harvest, between the end of September and the beginning of October. The wine has a bright and nicely intense garnet color which on the edge veers towards an antique pink. The bouquet is intense, heady and penetrating with a light boisé note and scents of cherries preserved in spirits and licorice accents. The mouthfeel is full-bodied, rich and yet nicely balanced by the acidity and pronounced tannins that are almost youthful. The finish is warm and persistent.
