Like one’s first love, one never forgets their first vintage. In this case, it was a wine from an exceptional harvest when everything went for the best. It did not rain much, there were great temperature variations between day and night and the raisinating phase was excellent in a cold and dry climate. The result today is a wine with a clear, garnet color and evolved aromas with notes of tar, licorice and leather as well as a hint of black cherry preserved in spirits. The mouthfeel is taut, almost youthful, with an excellent, refreshing acidity and silky tannins.
