Cucina Italiana nel Metaverso

Italian Cuisine in the Metaverse at the 12th Italian Cuisine World Summit with Heinz Beck and Italian Restaurants in the World.

Part of the Seventh Italian Cuisine Week in the World, the Summit, Italy's longest-running food and wine promotion event, will celebrate its entry into the WEB3.0 era in Dubai.

"The Future of Italian Cuisine" is the theme of a "hybrid" conference to be held on Nov. 18 at the Gran Millenium Hotel Business Bay, which will be attended by chefs and restaurateurs from around the world. They will do so live but, for the first time in history, also in the metaverse, the technology destined to take center stage in the third internet age.

Opening the discussion, after a greeting from the Consul General of Italy in Dubai, Giuseppe Finocchiaro, will be Heinz Beck, the Michelin three-starred chef of La Pergola Waldorf restaurant, Astoria Roma. Then great chefs and restaurateurs from around the world will also speak with their avatars (see list below). "Italian cuisine is tradition, history and culture, but it also communicates with technological innovation, of which Italians have always been at the forefront," says Rosario Scarpato, founder and director of the Summit. Not surprisingly, the event's technical partner is Italy's OVER, the global open source Augmented Reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain.

Heinz Beck will also sign off on a dinner of haute Italian cuisine, on the evening of the same day, at the Bella Restaurant-also in Dubai's Grand Millenium Business Bay, hosted by house chef Alessandro Miceli in the presence of the Ambassador of Italy to the United Arab Emirates, Lorenzo Fanara. The dinner will also be able to be followed in part on the metaverse by food lovers or onlookers wherever they are in the world.

During the day, the NFT (Non Fungible Token) celebrating this edition of the Summit and the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World will also be presented, which can be obtained by attending the conference in person or by accessing the dedicated section in the metaverse. NFTs are PoAs (Proof of Attendance in English) or free souvenirs that testify over time (and in the blockchain) to joining an event.

This is not the first time that Bella Restaurant and chef Alessandro Miceli have been at the forefront of new technologies for the WEB. Last year at Bella itself, the first NFT in history linked to an unforgettable food and wine experience was launched in collaboration with www.nftdineart.ae .
