Lugana is presented in Rome on September 15

The Masterclass "Immediacy and Longevity," dedicated to press and operators, will be led by DoctorWine director Daniele Cernilli. From 6:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. opening to the public with tasting counters.
Just a few weeks to go before the Lugana Armonie Senza Tempo event, which will bring 40 wineries of the Consorzio Tutela Lugana Doc to Rome; a unique tasting to savor the nuances and peculiarities of the Turbiana grape variety from which the Lugana Doc wine, enclosed between Veneto and Lombardy and among the oldest in the country, originates.
On Thursday, September 15, from 6:30 p.m. until 11 p.m., in the splendid spaces of the central Villa Piccolomini, with marvelous views of the eternal city, the labels of forty wineries, called to best represent the wine production of the Lugana Doc, will be tasted at the tasting counters presided over by the producers. It will thus be possible to taste in the goblets the various interpretations and types of Lugana, namely Lugana, Lugana Superiore, Lugana Riserva, Lugana Vendemmia Tardiva and Lugana Spumante, and to meet with the winemakers to discover their stories of vines and grapevines.
Only for press and operators, by invitation or with request and confirmation of accreditation, the masterclass "Immediacy and Longevity" led by Daniele Cernilli will be held at 4 pm, also at Villa Piccolomini. On this occasion 10 references will be tasted blind: 5 wines horizontally, that is, all from the current vintage, and 5 wines vertically, going through different vintages. Through the tasting and comparison of these labels, Cernilli will discuss the topic of yeast autolysis and the immediacy and longevity of Lugana, two characteristics that strongly distinguish this wine, which is strong from a territory and soils particularly suited and processing techniques capable of offering maximum expressiveness to the Turbiana vine. Lugana Doc Consortium President Fabio Zenato will take part in the masterclass.
