Complete San Leonardo vertical tasting (3)
We come now to the most recent San Leonardo vintages, with 2018 coming out on the market March 21. To celebrate the 30th vintage, Anselmo Guerrieri Gonzaga and his wife Ilaria Tronchetti Provera launched the Art in San Leonardo project.
On March 1, during an evening at Palazzo Taverna in Rome (where we staged our vertical tasting) the Art in San Leonardo project was unveiled. It is the result of the desire of Anselmo and Ilaria Guerrieri Gonzaga to bring together the history and identity of their Trentino estate with the language of contemporary art and the vision of artists.
Simone Berti is the artist involved in this first edition and who – after staying at San Leonardo on various occasions in 2022 – created an artist’s book, a limited and signed edition of 120 copies, entitled “Waiting is not time wasted”, which perfectly defines the essence of San Leonardo. Together with the book, Berti also created an “Artist’s Label” for 999 numbered bottles of vintage 2018, 600 of which will be available in three-bottle wooden cases.
